Natural and Permanent Relief for Tooth Ache

Tooth pain is generally caused by cavities. Cavities often cause tooth pain and there is chance of getting cavities from bacteria in the mouth that are thriving on sugary and starchy foods that cling to teeth and gums. It is advisable to seek the help of a dentist immediately but for we have to take some basic steps for temporary relief as sometimes it might not be possible to consult doctor immediately. Tooth pain may be due to cavities, infection, exposed tooth root, and gum disease. It usually happens when the soft central region of the tooth called pulp which consists of several highly sensitive nerve endings gets infected. The bacteria damage our teeth and when the damage reaches certain range this will cause tooth ache. Any infection that reaches the root will surely cause tooth ache

Tooth pain

Toothaches range from throbbing to aching, but with a good dentist as your ally, the pain should be short-lived. For general pain relief, you can also take aspirin or pain killer or any antibiotic also. And try the following ways to get temporary relief…

  • Rinse your mouth with a tincture of myrrh. This effects will help with inflammation, and myrrh offers the added benefit of killing bacteria.
  • Peppermint tea has a nice flavour and some pain relief power. Add 1 teaspoon dried peppermint leaves in 1 cup boiling water and steep for more than 20 minutes.
  • Stir a teaspoon of salt into a glass of warm water and rinse for up to 30 seconds before you spit it out. Repeat this daily in the morning.
  • Place a small ice cube in a plastic bag, wrap a thin cloth around the bag and apply it to the aching tooth for better result. Do this for 15 minutes to relax the nerves.
