Home Remedies for Migraine Headache during Pregnancy

Every 10 people out of 100 will face Migraine issues. It is most commonly seen during pregnancy time. Regular headache and vomit sensation are common symptoms of Migraine. Due to production of pregnancy hormones, sudden increase in blood volume, vitamin deficiency will cause these problems. During pregnancy period there will be variations in blood volume and blood pressure and this will cause Migraine problems. Keep in mind that pregnant women can safely take Acetaminophen to treat Migraine occasional headaches. Negligence will cause severe problems like kidney problems (preeclampsia). It is better to follow some remedies to avoid serious Migraine issues.

  • Consume plenty of water before going to sleep. This will help from Migraine attacks and heart problems.
  • Take Protein content food at every meal.
  • Should be careful with regular sleep and diet. Make sure that to you drink plenty of water early in the morning and before going to bed.
  • Calcium and Magnesium content are necessary in this situation. Should take at least 1000 to 1500 grams of calcium and magnesium regularly.
  • Depending completely on medicines is not safe during pregnancy time as they contains some dangerous antibiotics.
  • Before taking any medicines like pain killers like Aspirin or Ibuprofen it is mandatory to consult doctor and take steps accordingly.

Pregnancy women will often experience tension headaches during the first trimester. It might be because of sudden change in hormones types. By the second trimester the pain subsides because these hormones are steadily high during this period. During third trimester you will experience additional weight and consider whether poor posture may be a factor in your headaches. Avoid strain on your neck and shoulders as they lead to severe health issues which can irritate nerves in the back of your head.
